Rush

Many fans of the band Rush may not be aware that the band is not American.  In fact, the band is from nearby Canada, where it formed in 1964.  Since that time the band has gone through many changes, including changes to personnel and changes to their musical sound.  Although they have always been a hard rock band, they have tried to fuse new types of music with their sound as each decade goes by.  For example, they created some progressive rock in the 1970s, some New Wave and reggae in the 1980s, and alternative rock in the 1990s. This ability to adapt their music to the changing tides of music popularity has allowed them to remain relevant and continue to be successful.

The band is touring this summer and fall in the RUSH Time Machine Tour.  The tour is so named because the concert will consist of every song from the band's1981 album Moving Pictures.  That album was the band's most successful to date, reaching number three on the American Billboard chart, selling more than four million albums and is probably the album that the band is most well-known for.

Due to this interesting choice of concert, fans who attend will feel like they have been transported back more than twenty years when the album first came out.  The concert will also likely feature some of their newer material in addition to Moving Pictures.  If you are a big fan of Rush, you may want to get tickets to see them on their Time Machine Tour.  You can view the tour dates here on ConcertKing and also purchase the tickets to your choice of dates.

Be sure to keep in mind ConcertKing when you are looking for tickets to other concerts, as well.  Also, the site also has the best seats to sporting events, family events, and more.

Every so often a concert tour comes about that is so different than anything you have ever seen that it something that you do not want to miss.  One of those tours that is coming up is the Rush Time Machine Tour 2010.  The tour features the rock band Rush, as the name would suggest, and is not your ordinary concert.  Rather, the band will be taking their fans in a time machine back to 1981.  Why that year?  Because that is when Rush released its best-selling and most-famous album Moving Pictures.

For this 2010 tour, Rush will be performing every song off the Moving Pictures album.  For longtime fans of the band, it will really be a great treat to hear their old favorite songs live and in person.  What they may have once listened to on vinyl or cassette will be reborn in a great live concert.  One of the main reasons that the band is embarking on the tour in this way is so that they can pay tribute to all of the fans that have been with them the past 20 years.  Also, the band themselves will certainly enjoy playing those old songs that meant so much to their career.

Because of the unique nature of the Rush Time Machine Tour, the tickets are going to be a hot commodity.  For that reason, you need to plan ahead and make sure that you get your tickets before they sell out.  Here on ConcertKing, you can find the tour schedule for Rush for this year and see where they will be playing near you.  You can then purchase tickets to one or more concerts here on the site.  This really is a once in a lifetime type tour so don't let the opportunity pass you by, as it may be the last time that Rush tours on behalf of Moving Pictures.
